CARE + HANDLING

➜ Kochia can comfortably remain dry-packed in the cooler for up to 2 days before processing, though conditioning upon arrival will provide the best vase life
➜ Recut stems at a sharp angle before conditioning in fresh water
➜ Allow 4–6 hours of hydration before designing
➜ Condition in moderately full buckets, removing any foliage that will sit below the water line
➜ Kochia performs beautifully in both fresh water arrangements and properly saturated floral foam
➜ Before designing, gently separate the naturally branching stems to reveal their airy shape instead of treating the bunch as one solid mass
➜ If using kochia in larger installations, insert it toward the end of the design process so the fine branching isn't repeatedly compressed by heavier flowers
➜ Transport finished arrangements with plenty of breathing room around the stems to help preserve their natural shape
➜ Keep finished designs cool until delivery to maintain fresh color and delicate texture
