➜ Tulips are commonly shipped and stored dry, making them one of the easiest flowers to keep in the cooler until you're ready to process them—although if storing for more than a day or two, we recommend upright storage as tulips will reach for any light they can find, sometimes causing stems to curve even more before design time

➜ Recut the stems and stand the tulips in clean, cool water for 2–3 hours before designing, allowing the stems to fully hydrate and straighten naturally

➜ Leave the protective bunch sleeve on during conditioning if the stems have curved during shipping—the flowers will often stand noticeably straighter as they hydrate

➜ Expect tulips to continue growing and gently changing position after arranging, adding the graceful movement they're famous for
